not a favorite
By Amy-addicted reader
*First let me say that I have generally liked the books written by this author.

I had multiple issues with this storyline. First, the main gal is very young. With her still being in high school (and I will admit, the fact that the author went on and on and on regarding 18 years old here vs in Australia or another country was annoying) Sasha was so completely immature it was annoying. It solidified the stupid teenager mindset when I was trying to focus on the love story. The main conflict wasn't regarding her being a human and him being a shifter which I would have expected and found more plausible, it was around the fact that she kept throwing stupid teenage tantrums when she didn't get her way. She got mad because she couldn't be in his nightclub in Vegas?! Hello, this is his JOB and there are rules for adults that we have to follow to keep our jobs.

Another issue I had was the complete lack of respect she had for his feelings. She knew certain things would upset him and kept doing them or tried to "hide" certain details. (Example-her dance routine) She seemed to have a wake up call and realize her mistakes and how to act somewhat like an adult, but that didn't happen until 95% into the book and by that time I was over and done with her and the story....the only reason I ended up finishing the book was because I felt I didn't want to completely waste my $4.99.

So, to summarize I will keep an eye out for this author and her other books but I will disregard this series as simply "meh" and save my money in the future.

Jealous possessive hero & HEA
By Justirishgirl
The the story checked all of my I want boxes. Jealous, possessive hero =check, faithful and not with OW since meeting the heroine - check. HEA - check. While I have read and enjoyed paranormal romances I prefer romances that do not include paranormal elements. Here, while the book involved a lion shifter and his family, the paranormal aspect did not overwhelm the romance.

I had to suspend reality when it came to things besides the paranormal aspect. For example, not many mothers including myself, would be ok with their 18 year old daughter, who is still in high school moving in with a man who is 28 years old that she just met weeks before. However heroine's mother besides briefly threatening the hero was ok with it.

A thing that detracted from my enjoyment of the book was grammar. In addition to th grammar mistakes, the author not only has the heroine speaking and thinking like she is British, which is fine because she is, but has the hero doing that as well even though he is not British, he is American. It is like the author forgot who was speaking or thinking. For example, the hero uses the words "arse"

Because the author writes about my preferred type of hero and includes a HEA, I will be reading more of her books.

Better than I expected
By BookLover
After reading the description and the reviews, I was hesitant to buy this book. I'm glad I did. It was a lot better than I thought it would be.
In some places the story went to fast or there wasn't enough information; or it was to slow or it felt like I was missing something. It is a short read but it was an enjoyable short read.
In some places I could see why some might think Sasha was immature, and she was but that was a bump in the road for these main characters to overcome. But I think at least Sasha learned from her mistakes and actually apologized were as in some books the h doesn't, which annoys me to no end.
I would recommend this book, but keep in mind the h is 18 and the H is like 26-28. So there is going to be some immaturity going on, but that's to be expected.
I hope all the brothers and the sister gets a book. I would actually love a pre of the mother and father on the H' s side.
